— music

“And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.”

Besides my career in technology, I am also a classically trained singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist.

After dropping out of my PhD in CS, I pursued my passion for music at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory while continuing to work in technology, winning some of the most prestigious music competitions and sharing stage with remarkable artists. Going back and forth between board meetings at a technology company to full-dress orchestra rehearsals was a pretty wild time -- one that I sometimes miss.

I made my operatic stage debut in 2014 in the title role of Tchaikovsky's opera Eugene Onegin under the guidance of Professors Valdislav Piavko, Anatoly Loshak, and Maestro Vladimir Fedoseev.

During those years, I was trained by and shared the stage with some of the world's greatest artists and conductors including Plácido Domingo, Vladimir Fedoseyev, Gennady Rozhdestvensky, Ian Bostridge, Franz Grundheber, Galina Pisarenko, Irina Gavrilovici, and others.

Today, I compose and produce my own music, ranging from classical to modern genres. For music collaborations, reach out at music@kgoryunov.com.
